GREEN JOBS STRATEGY MEETING - WE NEED YOU!

WHAT – A 1 ½ hour strategy meeting to help build momentum for Green Jobs in North Florida.

WHEN – Saturday, October 17, 2009 (2-3:30 p.m.)

WHY - To gather different leaders already working on job creation, sustainability, and/or renewable energy so that we may discuss where we currently are, our goals for the future, and potential avenues for strengthening each others’ work.

WHERE - Unitarian Universalist Church of Jacksonville (in the Arlington area close to the Regency Mall). Go to www.uujax.org for directions. We will meet in the Social Hall. Refreshments will be served.

HOW (will we spend our time?) - We will open the meeting by giving every organization represented a few minutes to introduce themselves. We will then have a speaker give a quick overview of the green jobs movement nationally, and some specifics as to initiatives already underway in Florida. We will then open up the meeting for discussion, specifically focusing on ways we can work together to further a green jobs agenda in North Florida.
