Recent graduate of the International Baccalaureate (IB) program at Nease High School and student of Dr. Mary McKee, Matthew Young is the winner of the Jacksonville Music Teachers Association Scholarship Audition and the Mary Elizabeth Land Scholarship Audition first prize winner in the Musically Advanced ll solo piano division at the Florida Federation of Music Clubs Festival, and first prize winner in both the junior and senior levels at the Brass Ring competition. Matthew will attend Oberlin Conservatory of Music in the fall.
